Sad for the one who hears the call of an higher power due to the insatiable desire and longing of the heart to see those whom one is leaving behind, sadder still for the dear relatives friends of the deceas- ed whc-n the limp and lifeless form cherished friend is brought hcme from a distant land and upon the exposition cf the body one stands in awe and sorrow undefinable and gazrs upon the icy-cold and silent features cf onc- who had hitherto kindled a burning flame of friends ship in the hearts of his friends and acquaintances: one who hitherto had always been a welcome and popular home arrival greeted his friends and relatives Wllil the sad and gloomy lincnments of death portrayed in his brow. Such is the sad case of James Peter Murtho who died in Lord Is- lnnd on Mav 28 after a few hours illness: Mr Murtagh was employed as a labourer for one of the local licrpiials at the time of his demise.
