Small The death occurred in the Prince County Hospital yesterday after- noon of Major Louis Small of Sum- mcrside at. the age of G2 years. While he had been a patient in the hospital for the past three weeks with n heart condition hi! death came suddenly and as a great shock to his family and frtr-nds. The late Mr. Small was born at Suinmerside East. a son of the lute Alfrml and Jane Small. Ife was brought up there and as a young man moved to Western Canada and lived in British Columbia and Al- bcrtzi whore he inei. his wife, the former Lillian Anderson. who sur- vives him. He und his wife return- ed to tho Island about twenty-five years ago and for some years he operated a fox ranch owned by tho late W. K. McGougan. Later they went to Anticosti Island and tot about. six years operated a ranch for the Consolidated Paper Co. Ltd. For the past. ten years they have made their home in Sunnnerstde where Mr. Small oper- atcd a furniture re-fmtslitng and uphoisiering shop. He was an act- ive member of the Masonic Order. Besides his wife, Mr. Small t: survived by three brothers. George. Lloyd and Leonard Small, all of Summcrsldc. Mr. Lloyd Small left on Micsday for Ontario. One sister. Mrs. W. A. lifatheaon o!
