Baker Of Summerside The death occurred yesterday st the Provincial Sanatorium of Mr. John C. Baker of Summerside at the 3S9 "f 35 Years. The late Mr. Baker had been s victim of ill hs-lth a great part of his adult life and had been e patient in m; Sanatorium for the past. two years. He graduated from Summerside High School and attended Prince 0f Wales College. While there he was laid up for some time as the result of a knee injury. ln 1935 his health broke down and he entered the Sanstorium for treatment. He spent n year there and after recovering his health he aQCt-‘Dtcd a position with the Civil Service in Ottawa, when the war broke out he was appointed m 9 _Dft5itif)l'l with the Brltili In- spection Board and served in Tor- onto and Winnipeg. While in the latter city he suf- fcrcd a nervous breakdown and was obliged to resign his position and return home. Later he was manager of Sheen 8s McInnis store while Niessrs. His health again broke down in August, I947 and he was forced to enter the Sanatorium a second time, Mr. Baker knew ill health a‘ great deal during his comparative- ly short lift- and alvrays bore his stiffcring with cheerful fortitude. He was a young man of exemplary character and an active member of the Presbyterian Church. Besides his parents he is stir- vivcd by tivo sisters.
