THE CADRE,‘ APRIL‘ '3, 1973, Page 6 Student Ape/thy? Include Administration}! As the Cadre has been re— cently printing: I along with many other people at this institution am"tired of getting ripped off by the University." Bow I can understand what David Lewis means by the "corporate rip- off" phrase used in his campaign;Just substitute "university rip-off" and that tells the story. The latest in the admin-. istration's bag of tricks is the imposition of an ex- tra $50. fee for the male residents who live in a double room, but, because of the lack of resident stUdents this year, have not been as— signed a roomate. It is not my fault or any of the other "victims" fault that they have no roomate.By this ges- ture the administration seems to be putting the burden on the student to recruit him— self a roomate. If this is the case I ask you what are these people being paid for? It was decided at a Res— idence council meeting earl- ier this year that the stu- dents who did not wish to pay the extra $50. could double up and the assessment would be cancelled. However, I wish to make a point: This decis- ion reached us not through an official notice in the mail as it reasonably should have, but through the usual way of rumors. Oh yes, we (4 of us...so far) did re- ceive a sort of notice in the form of a tidy littletx bill. Is this communication?
