It has been well nigh realized in Ayers Sarseparilla, which purifies the blood, gives vitality to all the bodily functions, and thus restores to age much of the vigor and freshness of youth. InFLUENZA.—It may -not. be generally known that an epidemic of influenza prevailed on P, E. The proceeds were in aid of the Conyent. An election was heldto decide who was the most popular young man in the village, and Mr. Cyrus Boudreault, station master, received the highest number of votes. THe VaLe Couuery Fire.—The Vale col- liery has been shut down indefinitely. I was impossible to ‘quench the fire, and the manager decided to shut down. Between 300 and 400 men have been thrown out of work. Some eight horses and a quantity of mining plant were destroyed, among the latter being ® pump valued at $33,000. The New Glas- gow iron works wiil feel the loss keenly, as _ the coal from this mine was exactly suited for their purposes. It is likely another shaft, opened some time ago, but abandoned on ac- count of the poor quality of the coal, will be further developed. Hear what] Dr. T. J. Trueman, of Acadia Mines, N.
