The players were Perley "Chick" Williams, George Buntaln and the late Jack "Fairy" Callaghan. Williams played with the Abbies during the 1922 season and went up to Boston the following year. He. played with an amateur team in Boston but returned to saint John to join the Abbles for their game against the Toronto Granites on Jan. 10. 1923. The Granites won the game 3-1 and later went on to win the world's Amateur Champ- ionship. Williams scored the Ab- bies lone goal. George Buntain and Jack Cai- laghan played with the Abbies dur- ing the 1923 season. In connection with the Ciranites it has been pointed out that they formetl the Montreal Maroons a year or two after they defeated the Abbies.
