The concert and pie social givon ln the Mill View Hall a few. evenings ago under the auspices of the Mill View debating club was a success in every particular. The spacious hall was crowded with an appreciative audience. The program was so well carried out from first to last that it seems hard to particularize. But the solos by Mrs. Sheidow and Miss Mn- Grath deserve special mention. Both were heartily encorod. Cecil Wood`s solo deserves praise. Mr. Wood has avery pleasing voice and used: it to good effect. Avlclin solo by Ernest Mclnnis was much appreciated and not until he was brought back the third time was the audience satisfied. A duet by the lit is Misses Mutlow was one of the most pleasing numbers on the program. Alex J. Irving's rendering of a French Canadian selection would do oreditto a professional. Mr. Irving is always appreciated in Mlllview. His encore was especially pleasing. J.
