Born at Ohelton, he received his early education at the local school and inter entered St. Dunstarfs Uni- obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1930. The pursuit oi further studies was interrupted by the sudden death of his onl brother. Truly it may be said of Austin Murphy that although he has de- parted, nevertheless his example of fidelity to duty so unerringly displayed during life will remain an inspiration cherished by those with vilicm he associated.
