But all generalities lend them- selves to exceptions, and in this case itwould be suicidal for South to lead a. trump atter he wins the spade lead. If he did. either defender would the heart and return a spade. And the result would be that South would lose Sour tricks—a spade, two hearts. and 3 dia- mond.
