ary schools, collegiate institutes, Commercial and Business Colleges, and other organized educational institutions bc-

The iirsistep in the contest is lor each school to hold a contest to determine its own representative. In Prince Edward
Island, the province will he divided into Four districts, llings,-Queens, Prince, and Charlottetown, (including St. ilu-
nslan’s). There will be a competition at a coniral point lor each oi these districisio deiermincihc district cham-
pion. lt is atthesc districicompetiiions that champions ol the individual schools will compete.
T The winners ol each oi thedisiricts will como to Charlottetown as guests ol The Charlottetown Guardian, and at its
" expense, to compete lor the Prince Edward Island Provincial Championship. The winner oi this contest will receive
a suitable prize irom the Guardian. E   E
Similar competitions will be held in other provinces olihe Dominion. Following these provincial championships
the winner irom each province will go to a selected city, probably Toronto, to compete lor the Canadian Champio-
ship- The Prince Edward Island winner will go to the Canadian Contest as guest ol the Charlottetown Guardian with
  all expenses paid. ._ _
The Canadian champion will be given a lroe trip this summer to Europe, a travelling scholarship, as guest ol the
newspapers in the various provinces which, at the roqucsiol the Canadian and international Committees, are conduct-
ing ihe contests. E `
The Canadian winner, alter his European trip, will go to Washington, as gue si ol the International Committee, to
compete in the international Champion ships.
