has been reported on Douglas Street in
the home of Albert Murphy,his son having
developed diphtheria
The death of Capt O 'Iaylor's child has
been reporged to day and the funertl takes
place this afternoon
The places are not being flagged but the
requirements are exactly the same as if
tagged. Unlessa gu ird is placed the
results are exactly the same. All are
notified according to the bye-laws, the
~l_iiitary officer notifies the neighbors of
the home infected.
The flagging is more for pauper families
under the care of the city. People will
dght shy of a house where diphtheria has
developed. The fact is that people will
k¢'~'Da\vay from the house. The danger
from passing by a. house is quite
imaginary.
Mr. D. Howlett`s family are im proving
and were suffering from quinsy.

In reference to the administration of
serum the doctor advocated its use. iii the
strongest terms. So far as used in his
experience the efect has been absolute

thi- case on Douglas street, Murphy.
