There was a Feneral meeting on the 30th of beptemnber to choose a new exec- tive for the new year. The fol- owing were the results: Matthew Hattuany— purer Trea- Kent Compton- Secretary Earl Byrne— Vice-president Linda Gordon- President Over the course of our last eetings some exciting new ideas nnd schemes were raised by those ho attended. We have decided o order jackets with our own rests as well as mugs and mem- bership cards. Numerous sport- ng, entertainment and, of course, istorical events were discussed or the coming year. The soci- ty has just moved into the new ounge on the third floor of Main syhich will be the location of our eetings. It is also a place for re- axing and getting to know your ellow history majors and hope- jh NT. fully help each other through our academic year. We have the potential of be- coming one of the most successful societies on campus, but the only ingredient missing is you history majors. For it to work, the par- ticipation of all history majors is required. The society is here to help you, the history major, and by joining, you can only benefit. With excellent representation at faculty meetings, the history stu- dent has a great deal more input in his/her ciriculum. ; Meetings are on Wednesdays at one PM on the third floor of Main, west end.
