Mra. lilac- -On the morning of May lath. 1950, the spirit of Mrs. Samuel MacPherson (Marion Mellishi New Perth. returned to its Maker. Death came suddenly and un- expectedly. Born at Union Road (Kings County) seventy-three years ago Mrs. MacPherson was a daughter of the late Albert Mellish and his wife Annie Campbell Mcllish. In the year i913 she married Mr. Sam- uel Ma.oPherson of Martinvaile and resided in that district for some years. later removing with her family to New Perth. Kind and charitable always. she lived and exemplified the great commandment "Love thy neighbor as thyseii." There were few in the commun- ity who had not known her kind- ness in times of sickness and dis- tress and friends and stranger alike will long remember her generous hospitality. A lover oi flowers her garden was a beauty spot in the commun- ity and the admiration of the trav- elling public. She is survived by her husband and three daughters. Annie, Mrs. Homer Moor; Mary. Mrs. Roy Mac- Kenzie. all of New Perth and Min- nie, Mrs. William Megent, Toronto. Also by two brothers Albert oi Charlottetown: John of Boston, and one sister Mary of Brooldine, Mass. Six brothers and two sisters pre- deceased her. The largely attended funeral ser- vice was conducted by her pastor Rev. E. N. Young of st. Andrews Presbyterian Church.
