Timmins who passed away March 29th, 1949. Treasured memories are all we have left, Of one we loved and never for- get. Lovingly remembered by the family. , I IN MEMORIAM A.‘ J. MCKINNON It was with a feeling of deep loss that the people of Mon-ticello and surrounding area heard of the sudden passing of _Mr. Angus J. McKinnon, Although in failing health for the past few years, he was about his regular work until the morning of October ,.10th, M‘-.en he suffered a heart attack and died within the matter of minutes. ‘ He was born at Monticello, July 1882, son of the late John McKinnon and Catherine Mc- Eachern. It was here that he spent his entire lifetime where with his brother, he was success- fully engaged in farming. In 1925 he opened a general store which he operated up until the time of his death. Mr. Ma-cKin1non was 8 man of many outstanding qualitites. He possessed a quiet disposition to- gether with an air of reflection. His calm delibration and sound judgement never allowed emotion to govern his decisions; his foresight and tenacity of spirit \-saw the fulfillment of his endeav- ours. Though never eftusive, he had a kindly heart that went out to those in need. 7 His wide circle of acquaintanc- es will mou.rn the passing ,of a good friend. In his years of ser- vice to ‘the public he displayed his fine sense of integerity as well as his devotion to the interests of those whom he served. He was methodical in his work and real- ized its true dignity. He recog- nized his duty to God and to his fellow men. ' . He was administered the Last Rites of Holy Mother Church by Father Wendell McIntyre’ who was caring for the needs of the Parish in the absence of the Pastor, Fat-her McLeod. He leaves to'mourn, two bro- thers, Pius, at home; Daniel of Los Angeles, Calif., four sisters, Minnie (Mrs. Creamer) of Bel- . mont, Mass; Margaret (Mrs. Pat- terson) Ma-lden, Mass; Laura, (Mrs. Angus MacDonald) Public -. Landing, N.B., and Alice, at home. ' His funeral, under the direc- tion of the Charlottetown Funer- al Home, was held toSt. Mar- garet’s Church where a Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Fa- ther Maclntyre. Father George MacDonald, former Parish Priest was present in the Sanctuary. The pallbearers .~re R.l). Mc- Kinnon, William Hanning, John W. MacDonald, James C. Mac- Donald, H-ugh B. MacDonald and Elmer O’Hanley. Services at the grave were conducted by Father Maclntyre. = ' CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank the Clergy, our neighbours, those who sent Mass Cards andmessages of sym pathy, and all those who, in so many ways, helped us in‘ our re- cent sad bereavement.
