A number of games and contests were enjoyed by the member. ‘A delicious lunch was then served. and a social hall-hour enjoyed. ..'LADIES AUXILIARY HOLD MEETING — The regular meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary of the, Cana- dian legion, Montague Branch. was held in the Legion Hall on Mon- day evening. The president, Mrs. Emery MacNclll, was in the chair. The meeting was called to order, and a one-minute silence was ob- served. The minutes of the last session were read, and after one correction were approved. One new member, Mrs. N. D. Nicholson, was ‘ welcomed. Several bills were read, and it was moved and seconded that these bill be paid. The sick committee reporied- having visited two sick members who are now re- covering satisfactorily. Plans were discussed for holding another card party in April, after which the meeting adjourned. I and‘ the game developed into a closely fought battle, with the All Stars finally emerging as the winners by an 8-‘7 score. An un- fortunate accident occurred when the Reserve Army goalie, Bobby Stevens, received a nasty cut over the eye, which necessitated six stitches to close. Purpose and prayer , followed by the devotional period led by Aliene Beaton with scripture reading by Helen Hamilton from St. John l4. verses 1-6. The story read was "A gift for Mom." Hymns sung were "Jesus Keep Me Near The Cross" and "God Sees the Sparrows Fail." During the business period plans were made to mend the church hymn books at the next meeting, which will be held at Mrs. Mur- dock Beatons. .The leader read a Bible lesson "Thou Art The Man."
