Result of the Caledonian games held {n Souris Saturday were a success in the matter of attendance at least. Souris village was deserted, and when the games began at two o’clock aa immense crowd of spectas tors filled the stand and grounds. On the oval inside the track «& specia stand had been erected on which were party, Premier and Mre Farquharson, A McDon- ald, Esq ,of Dalvey, Co’. Orr and others. The grand stand across the track, without covering of any descr iptiun and wth the broiling €un fairy scorching the occupanta was filled to cverflowing, while on the Oval—and even on the track—a_ large number, who could not gain admission to the stand, took up positiuns. The track was not one that would delight an athlete’s heart, and there 's one thing of waich Souris cannot boast—its athletic grounds.
