March 26.-Three of the tuberculosis patients treated by Dr. Friedmann were from the Institute Bruchesl, and one of these is worse _rather than better after the treat- ment, it is said, while there is no change apparent in the other two' cases. The three patients all had tubercu- losis of the hone. One is a young woman, 22 years of nge, one is a ithree-year-old girl, and the third is a boy I8 months old. It is the lit- tle glrl who has not been so well since the treatment. She had no temperature before, but has had ever since. It happens in all cases that thc temperature rises after injection with u. serum, but in normal cases it' goes down again in a short time. In the case of the little girl, however, it bas not done so. MONCTON, March 27-About 1.15 this morning, as s. switch engine wns. pushing a. train of freight cars down the old main line past the I. C. R.de- pot, the leading car of the string, a Jersey box car loaded with coal, jumped the track and running into the shelter shed in front or the sts- tion, smashed the side of the roof fon a distance of some twenty feet before it could be brought to a standstill. The auxiliary crew was called out, and with the aid of the steam wreck- ing crane the car was about two hours later replaced on the rai1s.'l`he damage to the shelter shed is not very serious, and will be repaired by carpenters during the day.
