Tbsiatter witnesses testified to having found the remains of the child wrapped in cloth buried in the sand as previously described. They were led to the spot, which was about three , hundred yards away from the cookhouse which were in the sand. At the inquest previously, the prisoner admitted she was the mother of the child, which was born where it was discovered. She swore positively that the child did not breathe, and lt was born dead. She had it covered with ber apron, and after wards she placed another -apron over it and buried it in the sand. She took hor daughter Josephine after- wards with her tolahow her the spot where the child was buried. It was born on Friday afternoon and next day she was about her work as usual in the factory. The unfortunate woman will be brought to the city by the morning train today in ‘charge of Constable Nathan Douglas and lodged in Queen's County Jail till the time of her trial. ___.._i-...-- i=.
