Jordan, a native of Murray Harbor, P. E. Island, died at the Steel Company’s hospital of typhoid fever. ‘ His remains were taken to Undertaker Ballsf Yesterday afternoon an aged gen- tleman stopped and enquired of Mr. Ball where aMr.Co.< lived, saying that he had a son sick there. “You are, Mr. Jordon,” said Mr. Ball, whereupon the gentleman was a little stirtled, and asked how it was that he knew. Mr Ball then explained that he had been waiting for him since yesterday and ended by giving the sad information that the son was now dead and at his under- taking rooms. Mr. Jordon nearly col- lapsed. The strange part of it is that Mr. Ball was the first man Mr. Jordan spoke to after leaving the schooner on which he came ‘to Sydney.
