Oct. 5-—In line with the acii;n of the Dom- inion Government in proclaiming fire prevention week October 9th to 15th, instructions have been issued by W. U. Appleton, vice-. President and General Manager. Atlantic region of the C. N. R, to regional officials that special at- tention be paid to the question of fire prevention at this time. The railways have always been keenly interested in the matter of fire prevention and maintain special fire patrol forces dtlflll" the summer season to protect foc- est areas through which the rail- way operates.
