Colleen Tierney * Letters Con’t"~~- V Dear,Editor; Notwithstanding the many problems which plague our university, we should.not for— get the ultimate goal 05 any university; to provide an int— erface whereby ideas diffuse and human experiences are shared. When we begin to take sides this purpose becomes buried in the turmoil and confusion that inevitably results.. Is it not time tomake a - break with this childish beh— avior and have all segments of our community put their cases out in the open so that we might assess the situation in an unbiased manner? It might be useful, to all concerned, if a statement were issued by each segment of the university showing just where their loyalties lie; whether towards some common goal such as education, or for dynasty building and self enrichment. ” . Gordon Grovestine Huyck Apologizes This article is to serveaa dual purpose, first, it is to act as an apology to Bob O'Rourke for the misinformation printed in the Cadre two editigns back, secondly to explain a little about the Student Evaluation Bob O'Rourke's in- terest doesn't lie in the form— ation of an anti—calendar. This is a student interest. Professor O'Rourke will be involved in the Evaluation Com— mittee as far as finding in— terested Faculty members to sit with students. The main objective for this committee will be to produce a success- ful means of evaluating faculty qualifications. Once again, our apologies to Bob O'Rourke for the misinterpretation of his intentions which was pub— lished in the Cadre. To change the subject, I implore you as an Arts, Science,, or Education student to find out who your respective rep- resentatives are and pass com— plaints or compliments to them. That's their job, so GET TO KNOW THEM! ‘ To end this on a little lighter side, ponder this: "What did the buck say to the . “a?” Rick Huyck C.0. P.S.Answer: Just think‘of the 'fawn! we'll have.'
