A very pretty wedding took place at Melrose, Mass., on Wednesday evening, October 18th, the contracting parties being Mr. Charles S. Owen, of the well-known grocery firm of Owen Bros., at Wvoming Station, and Mies Christine McKinnon, daughter ef Mr. Charles McKinnon, of De Sable. Lot 29, P. E. Island. The Rev. W, H. Hackett, of the Fells church, pers formed the ceremony at the parsonage, on Main Street. The bride wore a very band- some costume of blue white cord, trimmed with chiffon over white satin and earried beautiful bridal roses. She was attended by Miss Edna Sweeteer as bridesmaid, at- tired in a becoming suit of pear! color serge trimmed with piok silk and cream colered lsce aod carried a bouquet of carnations. Mr. D. McKinnon, brother of the bride, acted as best man, After the ceremony the many frienda of the young couple were entertained at a res ception given at their new home, 38 Wyoming Avenue, the parlors being beau-~ tifully deeorated for the occasion. Many useful, beautiful, and costly presents were shown, and the company sat down to a fine collation after which vocal eelections were pleasingly rendered by Mr. Edwina Owen, and short aod appropriate speeches given by members of the company. David May, of Charlot etowo, was married at Winchester Mass,, on Wednes- day last, to Miss Margaret Gillespie, daughter ot Mr. aod Mre. Martin Gillespie.
