Fourteen students and four driver-chaperons will eave here Monday Dec. 27 and return to Prince Edward Island Monday Jan. 3. Three cars will be mak- ing this unique trip. The tour, strictly an educa- tional and cultural one, will pro- vide the young tourists with an excellent opportunity of discuss- ing international affairs with students of other countries. Many. similar groups are plan- ning to be ‘in New York at the same time as the Prince of Wales scholars, who will be hous- ed at International House there. ' Discussion groups are planned | durjng “the short time in the largest city of the United States. | Prince of Wales United Na- tions Society has been in exist- ence forfour years but this is the first time that such an ex- cursion has been undertaken. Already two-thirds of the’ ex-_ pense money has been raised and | the energetic young group is) honeful_that some local bene- factors will supply the remain- der. The Students’ PWC has made a_ substantial grant towards the trip. However, | it was learned that the 14 stud-| ents making the jaunt are ac- tually contributing about one- third of the exvenses themselves. MONEY-MAKING JOBS The provincial branch of the United Nations Association has | also given assistance to the students.
