Sept. 42 - (OP) - Rye displayed the best tone at the close today on the Winnipeg Grain Exchange oats and barley eased slightly in late trading. Flax re- mained firm. Domestic shipper demand came out early in the trade in cats and barley. while barley also received support from exporters in connec- tion with some overnight business in this commodity to Denmark. American demand sent. rye prices upward. Flax was mostly local' trade. Hedging sales were prominent in the December con- tracts. There was no information av- ailable on export loadings of Can- adian ivheat. but reports said 3,- 000,000 bushels were being made avnilable to Italy.
