McLean 'occupied the chair. The first subject tdiscussed was the Maritime Forward Imovement, which has for its object the protecting and encouraging of home manufactures. An invitation had been sent to this board to send delegates to a Maritime Conference to he held at Amherst on December 17th. After much discussion it was decided to send no delegates. The Railway winter time table of the Souris and Elmira Branch was the next matter taken up. Hitlierto a great deal of dissatisfaction existed during the win-| ter months. The train came at night. was seldom on time and in many cases was several hours late. Tho, Board reaffirmed a resolution, passed on April 15th, and brought to the no- tice of Mr. C. A. Hayes, General Traf- fic Manager, l. C. R.. during the early part of thc summer.
