Sm, ~I would wish to call the attention of the charitable public to the very painful condition of Mr. Johfi Hatch and his wife. This worthy old couple are at present very deserving objects of charity, being» both absolutely infirm and in very great need. Mr. Hatch is an old and faithful servent of the city, and it is a lasting reproach to our City Council that they do not vote him a small allowance for his support in his de- crepitude. Why should they not exercise the sane charity that a private citizen would in such a case? Have they no feelings of humanity for their destitute and afflicted servants, or are they virtually a soulless corporation. ~ SHAME. HOTEL ARRIVALS. RANKIN HOUSE.
