The witness testided that Dr. MacKay, a. specialist who examined his brother, Ellsworth after the ac- cident two years ago, ordered that his brother was not to get a drop of alcohol again for two years. He stated that the amallmt dr:/p of al- cohol would either drive him insane of kill him outright. The witness stated that the deceased had taken . alcohol several times while staying at his place after he left the hos- pital. The first time it affected his head very badly. lvilr. N. D. Maclean. undertsker. testified that he had been called to the Vendome about 8.30 p. ln. to take charge of a body. He explained turning the body over and finding the grm which was under and be- tweenthelegsofthe body. Bgt.D:yle picked up the revolver which was a .22 calibre one. Sergeant Doyle testified to hav- ing been called to the Vendome on Dec. 9th at about 9.1). The room was orderly. He picked up the re- volver which contained one shell and four loaded cartridges.
