The Pastor. conducted the impressive service. The very fine production was a prelude to the offering of White Gifts given by representatives of over thirty of the Church's nrga nizations. In five brief scenes the story of the Nativity was portrayed: Mary and Joseph in Nazareth preparing for the Bethlehem Journey: Door- way of the Bethlehem Inn with Joseph and the Inn-keeper. The Inn-keeper was not uumlndful of King Davidls prayer "Lord. keep Thou guard over the Stranger": The Shepherd's in the Fields: At the Manager. Coming of the Wise Men. 4 This meaningful and beautiful scriptural drama was exceptional- ly well enacted. The lighting ef-, fects and setting created the past- oral and Bethlehem atmosphere. The costumes were most auther '.ic, having been copied from well known Biblical paintings. The Senior Choir. under the dir- eclion of Mrs. G. Elliott Full pro-, vided the musical background. The g Carols sung were in keeping with the scenes as they were enacted. Those taking part in order of appearance were: Mary - Maylea Manning; Joseph - Layton Stone: A Voice - Aletha Runtz; Inn-keep-l er - Percy Ripley; Inn Boy -- Bobert Scranton: Angel Iris Lewis; Shepherds - Richard Wel- ton.
