DANZIG, Aug. 3-The following
amusing story is told here of the
Crown Princess and her motor-car.
Not long ago the Princess asked the
Kaiaer’s permission to use her car
without a crown being displayed on
the panels. She wished, she said, to
drive about more freely.
Recently the Kaiser noticed that
_the crown had been replaced in a
prominent position on the car and
inquired the reason why. “0h, be-
cause we _were so often held up by
the police for furious driving," was
the Crown Princess's reply; “but
now we have put the crown hack we
are not bothered any more." V
ARRESTED FOR SELLING 1
TICKETS WITHOUT AUTHORITY

PARIS, Aug. 3-The arrest of_lor-
ty street hawkers at the gates df
Longchsmps Race course for selling
forged tickets for the recent military
review has revealed the existence of a
forged-ticket factory. An engraver
was anested and in his workshop
were discovered twenty-four reserve
tickets for the grnndstand at the
review copied exactly from those is-
sued by the Ministry of War and
even provided with the official stamp,
while 600 tickets were 'waiting to
be stamped. .
It is alleged that the swindle has
gone on for some time and has ex-
tended to flying meetings, official
ceremonies, and even to theatrical
performances.
