Mrs, Chappell had been a missionary in Japan thirty-four years. She was the daughter of the Rev. P. Hol- brook, a member of the Wyoming Methodist Conference. When a young woman she attended the Wyoming Seminary. Mrs, Chappell went to the Far lissthsh teacher under the auspices of the Womcn's Foreign Mis- sionary Socicty of the Methodist church.
