Perot, and his granddaughter, Gladys. were voluntary prisoners yesterday at the house of Mrs. J. T. \Vainwright. B k' g Park street. The couple went there im- mediately on the arival of the steamei London City last night. When the steamer London City reach~ ed her dock Monday night, after a rough voyage from l.ond.in among the passengers who debarked was an elderly gentleman, bearing every evi- dence oi the man of taste and wealth. He was accompai ied by a dark-eyed little girl of a serious cast of counts n- ance, who clung t - his hand. The one was Mr. William H. Perot, of Baltimore, the other was_.his grand- daughter Gladvs Perot. whose. kidnap- ping in Baltimore by her mother. the former wife of W. T. Perot, and dra- I matic fight across the ocean, where the talk of the continent two months ago. Mrs Perot Was formerly Miss Spons- gle, of Liverpool. The Perots’ name was not on the passengers list, although it appeared on the list tur- nished to the immigration authorities, as required by the Canadian law. On that list both names appeared. Perot came from London for Balti- more, via, Halifax for no other reason than to escape observation. He was met at the wharf last night by the f- _ - - i= Messrs.
