BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF. r HE following REGULATIONS relative to the issue of Ammunition are published for the information of the Volunteer Militia. . Ball and Blank Ammunition in such quantities as may be deemed sufficient will be issued to such Companies of Volun- teer Militia as may be reported perfect in the Platoon Exer— cise and preliminary drill, when they will be put through_a eourse of Target practice under regular Instructors. Officers are requested to make themselves competent to carry on this duty. Ball Ammunition may be issued, on payment, on the fol- lowing requisition and certificate: Company of Volunteer Militia. day of 180 . Required for the use of the above Company, on payment, roundsof Ball Ammunition. Dated lhis I certify upon honor that the above ammunition is intend- ed solely for the use of the Company under my command, and that the whole of it will be expended under my personal superintendance, and that every precaution will be taken in the selection of ranges to guard the public from danger. A return of all ammunition issued on payment or other- wise will be sent in monthly for the information of His Ex~ eellency the Commander-in-Chief, naming the recipient Companies. In case of payment the amount will be credited in the monthly account.
