Revenues I A on Friday the mn, the Annual Sedi' Fair and Poultry Show was held" at Sourls. The day being fav- nralble the Show proved to be a gra’hd success. "'I‘h__%f'cl'as'ses' were all well filled; both in seed and poultry. 'The en- tries lu White Russian Wheat, Old Island Black Oats and McIntyre Po- tatoes being particularly large and of a very excellent quality, showing great care in selection. The Judging was carried on by ‘Professors ,Clark Robertson anf Davison during the forenoon and the greater part of the aftemoon. A feature of the judgin was the op- portunity given the exhibitors 'oi re- maining in the Exhibition building and thereby galniné' a, great deal of information from the Judges as to their reasons for placing the awards, which will doubtless help the exhib- tors in selecting seed in future. In the afternoon e. meeting wan held in St. Mary's Hall in connection with the sl10W. and was attended bv a large and enthusiastic number of people. Mayor Brennan opened the meetinz with a short address in which he extended a cordial welcome to the farmers. Hon. John McLean explained the,unavolda'ble absence of the Commissioner of Agriculture, having to attend a meeting of the Dalrymen"r Association in Chariottel town- Amoag the speakers of the afternoon were: Mr.,A. L. Fraser, Mr. H. H. Acorn, Rev. Mr. Styles, Mr. J. H. Gill, Father McPherson, Rev. Mr. McIntosh, Mr. 'I‘. S. Rob- ertson and Prof. J, A. Clarke. Prof. Clarke complimented the Farlners and Committee on tlleirmplen-did ex- hibitlion saying there was -a remark- able improvement in all classes. It was moved by Mayor Brennan and seconded _'by T. S. Robertson thata vote _of thanks be tendered Professors Clarke, Robertson and Davison, which was unanimously carried.
