A Sealer Crushed — Rioting in Newfoundland St. Joun, N’fid, March 31. The steamship Resolute, sealer and whaler, of Dundee, was crushed in the ice, off Notre Dame Bay, on Saturday iast. Her crew, numbering 330 men, were forced to leap for their lives, abandoning every- thing. They travelled 70 miles over the ‘ice andreached shore. Three men, named | White, Phillips and McClasken were }missed and no doubt went down with the iship. The Resolute was commanded by jthe famous sealing captain, Jackmann.
