He developed s heart condition. as a result of having rheumatic fever in boyhood. and in spite of medical skill and loving care he gradually weakened and on the a- bove mentioned date his gentle spirit passed into Eternity, forti- fied by the last rites of the Ro- man Catholic Church of which he was a devout member. He was consoled during his long and try- ing illness by frequent visits of hospital chaplains and Rev. Reg- inald Phnlen. His Christian forti- tude end resignation to the Devlne Will was most edifylng. Of a jovial disposition his friends were always greeted with a smile and although he suffered greatly he was never heard to complain, even to the last. His death. in the very prime nf life and leaving a young family, has causei wide- spread sorrow but it is in the home, where he was always in be found with his family, that he will be most sorely missed.
