PETER'S BAY CHURCH Will Dedicate Stained Glass Window At St. An impressive dedication cere- TIIUIIV will take place this Sunday at 2.30 p.m. at St. Petcrs' Bay Un- lied Church with the unveiling of a magnificent stained glass wind- OH 'l'he subject of this inciiiorial window is "The Good Shepherd." The predominant color is ruby red. this colour being used for the- oiiier robes of the Christ figure. with the undergarments being vtliite. The figure stands in front of a brownish-grey fence with green foliage at its base. Colored flow- esr are interspersed among the" foliage. The sky is of blue glass, and the window is completely made of antique glass considered to be of a superior quality. The overall size is 3 feet by It feet and it is finished with a Gothic top. This beautiful memorial was don- ated by Robert M. MacEwen in memory of his parents. Adolphus and Jessie (Hayden) Macl-Ewen and family. Mr. MacEwen is one of the many sitccessful islanders abroad. be- ing a contracter and builder in the United States. He w.as born at St. Peters Bay and spent his boy- Peters Bay ;hood there. His parents were a- mong the pioneer settlers in the community and assisted in the building of the church. OLDEST CONGREGATION St. Peters Bay United Church. is the oldest congregation on P. E.l.. being built and dedicated as Presbyterian church in 1886. lthe charge then included Cove- 'head. St Peters Bay. and Fort- une. The minister was J.W. Mac- Kenzic of John and Neil MacKen- zle of Charlottetown. This church is one of the few churchs that joined the union in The present charge includes Mar- ie. Greenwich and St. Peters Bay and is at present without a settled pastor. Rev. A.F. MacLean of Trinity will conduct the dedication service and the Trinity male eight, ac- ' 4 by Royston S.
