Canada is now quite large enough and its journalistic interests of sufficient importance to require its own annual News- paper Directory, and; there are several new leatures of the proposed work which will make it a valuable hand-book for all seeking information concerning the Canadian Press. We bespeak for this enterprising firm the aearty support and co-oporation of Canadian publishers generally. mcinasiiealinaat Kaxcanoos To pw Importep.--We sre as- tured, un what seems good authority, that the Project of importing kangaroos into this vountry is seriously entertained by several tuthusiastic and wealthy sportsmen of the west. The animals have been successfully tcclimated in England and France, and we are assured that there is no reason why they thould not thrive here. The practical ex- tinction of the buffalo has left the plains Without any big game of importance, and *xperienced sportsmen declare that hunting the kangaroo, ag practised in Australia, is *cond in excitement and interest only to killing the buffalo. —Welena Independent. well Irorrtxa at Restico.—The races on the Rastico Driving Park on Saturday, were fairly ¥ell attended.
