Tenders for a Sailing Packet between Georgetown__a_.nd Picteu. Colonial Secretary’s Office, MARCH 25, 1867. EALED TENDERS will be received at this Ofice until MONDAY, the 6th day of MAY next, at 2 o’clock, p. m., from. any person or persons being willing to furnish the Government with a fast-sailing, staunch, substantial VESSEL, of not less than 50 tons bnrthen, O. M., having good Cabin accommodation for passengers, and being sufficiently manned and fully and properly equipped and apparelled, and subject in all things to the approval of the Govern- ment. The said Vessel to be required to run as a packet for the conveyance of Her Majesty’s Mails, and for the accommodation of passengers, between the port of Georgetown in this Island, and the port of Pictou in Nova Scotia, from the 20th day of MAY next until the 3lst day of DECEMBER, in the present year, 1867. The said service required to be performed as follows, viz: The Packet shall leave Georgetown wharf for Picto’u, and Pictou for Georgetown, upon such days, during the above named period, as shall be fixed upon by the Government, and shall be subject to such alteration in the days fixed for leaving Georgetown and Pictou as the Govern- ment shall at any time direct and require. The Tender is required to name the age, tonnage, rig and accom- modation of the vessel tendered, and also the sum which the Ten- derer will engage to perform the whole term of service for, and fur- nish, also, the names of two persons of known responsibility, who will become bound for the due performance of the service. All freight and passage money to be the property of the owner of the vessel. EPARATE SEALED TENDERS will be received at this Office until TUESDAY, the 16th day of APRIL next, at 12 o’clock, noon, offering to supply the Government with pure Pale SEAL OIL, drawn from the catch of this present year, 1867, the same to be subjected to test for approval of quality, and to be con- tained in sound, tight, iron-bound hardwood Casks, and delivered at the cost of the contractor, in the following quantities, at the under- named Light Houses, on or before the first day of JULY next ensu- ing, v12 :— At Point Prim Light House - - 400 Gallons At Panmure Island Light House - - 400 do At Cascumpec Light House - - - 150 do At Sea Cow Head Light House - - 400 do At Fish Island Light House, Richmond Bay 130 do At Blockhouse Light House - - - 120 do Each Tender is required to specify the price demanded per gallon to be delivered as above, and give the names of two responsible per- sons as security for the performance of the terms of the Tender. SEALED TENDERS will be received at this Office, until 12 o’clock, noon.on THURSDAY, the 25th day of APRIL next, for the conveyance of Passengers and their Luggage, HOFBGS. Cattle, Sheep, Swine, and Agricultural Produce, Carts and Riding Vehicles, across the Ferry called the Georgetown Ferry, for the period of M THREE YEARS, from the 1st day of MAY next. Tenders must; express the lowest rates at which the Tenderer will carry Passen- gers each, also Horses, Cattle, &.c., each per head, and Vehicles each; also Produce per bushel. and Luggage per cwt. The Tenderer is required to keep on the said Ferry one or more proper, staunch, sound flat-bottomed Boats, of not less than sixteen feet in length, manned each with two able and steady men, and to be at'all times ready, when required, to cross the Ferry, between Sun-rise and Sun-set, while the Ferry shall remain open and free from ice, and shall be subject to all other conditions and restrictions is are set forth and required by the Act 3, Will. 4, cap. 8, regulating erries. _ The names of two securities must accompany the Tender, which is required to have marked on the cover, “ Tender for Georgetown Ferry.” GEORGE COLES, Colonial Secretary. SEALED TENDERS will be received at this Office until THURSDAY, the 25th day of APRIL next, at 12 o’clock, noon, from any person or persons offering to contract for three years, from the 1st day of MAY next, to carry Passengers, Luggage, Vehicles, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Calves, Swine, Grain, Flour, Meal, and Vegetables, over and across Walshtown Ferry, Lot 1], in terms of the Act 3, Will. 4, Cap. 8. The Tenders must express the rate of Ferriage demanded on the above severally, and be accompanied by the names of two good securities willing to become bound for the due performance of the service. .
