A recent article in the Canad- ian Medical Association Journal described tests made by the two Kingston doctors from ivhich they hope to bring relief for the iiia- jority of persons suffering com- mon colds. The preparation the doctors are working on is called "perles". a concentrated mixture of linnlclc and linolenic acids prepared from refined linseed oil. They reported in the Medical Journal that in- vestigation showed a considerable part. of the population suffered from colds as a result of deficien- cy of the essential fatty acids in the diet. These acids they described as "vitamin "Perles" is supposed to make up for this deficiency. DI‘.
