Program: The general membership of the Natural History Society will get a chance to preview the natural history ads which eight members of the Society prepared for the local T.V. station. If time permits, Kathy Martin will show slides taken at the annual meeting of the Canadian Nature Federation in Victoria, British Columbia. ANNOUNCEMENTS The field trip in the Winter River area at East Suffolk has been rescheduled for October 11. Be at the YMCA corner, Prince Street, Charlottetown, in time to leave at 10 a.m. We shall be going by way of Route 6, through Bedford. We have per— mission to drive back through a Mill Cove farm, thus shortening the walk by a mile each way. Margaret Mallett will be guiding. Bring almmm NEST RECORD CARDS It is time to complete your Nest Record cards. You may either bring them to the meeting or mail them as directed on each card. NATURE MAGAZINES The Society's various nature magazines should be rounded up now and brought to the meeting for recirculation. NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY LOGO Last winter, the Society requested members to submit suggestions for a Natural History Society Logo. A number of sketches were submitted and were judged by Anne Patterson. The winning sketch was submitted by Clare Martin. Anne Patterson offered to "professionalize" the sketch. Diane Griffin will be presenting the logo at the meeting, plus some of the "close" seconds! Our thanks go to Anne and to all those who entered the contest. Congratulations Clare!
