Yester- day Queens Road, the street ad- jacent to the skating i'ink, and the New Road were completed, the workmen staying on the job till late last evening to complete the new road. School Street was finished Sat- urday afternoon following the shaping up and prime coating the streets which took place on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. As a. result the work has progress- ed cven-more rapidly than ex- pected, primarily owing to the fact that the Mayor and Town Council had had the preliminary gravelling done earlier this spring by Poole and Beer Construction Co., and also because they had all necessary materials ready for tile worknlcn. Fortunately also the weather held fine during working days, as it is understood that the best results are not obtained when the roads are wet. At all events the palfing is nearing completion, and the residents of the commun- ity seem well satisfied, and many favorable comments have been heard. Mayor B. H. Yen and members of the Town Council feel that this has been a major undertaking, and are assured that the results will well justify the expense and work which they have expended.
