St. Ann's Church, Lot 65, was the scene of a very pretty wed- ding. when Katherine Valera, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Costello, Emyvale" became the bride of Thomas Augustine. son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bradley, Kelly's Cross. The pastor, Rev. George Mac- Cormac, performed the marriage ceremony and also celebrated the Nuptial Mass. During the cere- mony appropriate hymns were beautifully rendered by Mrs. Amos Callaghan. Miss Mary E. McElroy was organist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, looked lovely in a floor length dress of net _ over satin and three-quarter length veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and maiden hair fern with long white satin streamers. I-ier only ornament was a pearl necklace with matching earrings. a gift of the groom. Her brides- maid was her sister Miss Myrtle. who wore a floor length dress of peach satin with matching veil and carried a bouquet of snap- dragons and maiden hair fern. The groom was supported by his brother. Mr. Peter Bradley. The groom's gift to the brides- maid waa a pearl rosary. and to the beet man a shaving set. After the ceremony a weddin! Realm was served. at the MM o ‘imrfi/ ‘of the bride, m a tastofully M- orated dining room, to about fifty guests comprising near neighbors and intimate relatives of both parties. The table was centered with a beautiful three-tiered wed- ding cake, topped by a miniature bride and groom. The toast to the bride and groom was proposed by Rev. G. MacCormac and respond- ed to by the groom. Remarks were also made by Rev. w, Keefe. The remainder of the day was Joy- wely silent in sibling and danc- ing, music being furnished by Mr. James McDonald and Miss Blanche Murray. In the evening the happy couple ’left by car on a honey- moon trlp through the Maritimee. For travelling the bride wore a pink taffeta dress with matching accessories and cocoa brown coat. Previous to her marriage the bride was tendered a shower in the hall by her girl friends and was the recipient of many beauti- ful and useful gifts including a. large sum of money. Mr. and Mrs. Bradley will re- side in Charlottetown where the groom is a member of the teach- ing staff at Queen's Square School. Their many friends wish them many years of happy wedded life.
