Misses Helen Roberts and Eleanor Moreside [carried in a number of baskets heavily laden with gifts, which they unwrapped while Miss Esther Harper read the verses and pre- sented them to the bride and groom. When the gifts had all been opened Emmer- son. on behalf of his bride. with a few well chosen words thanked the people for their generosity and extended an invitation to all to visit them in their new home. During her illness she was ten- derly cared for by her two daugh- ters who did everytbi they could to alleviate ber suffe gs and to make her as comfortable as poss- ible. Ere was spiritually attended by her pastor Rev. William Mo- Cabe who visited her many times durin her sickness and onthe mo of her death administer- ed to er the last rites o! the Roman Oatholio Church. of which she was a consistent and very pious ember. The late Mrs. McMahon was a lady of many fine traits of charac- ter. She was kind-hearted, gener- ous and always cheer! ndeed her cheeriulness seem to be contageous for she had the art of making everyone happy with whom she came in contact. She was the possessor of many virtues and if any of these stood out more pre- dominantly than the rest. it was that of patience. never was she heard to murmur during all ner illness. and if being asked by her friends, how she felt; she would smilingly answer. fine. She leaves to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother, two sons. Eugene and Joseph, and two daughters. Ella and Saran. all of Brookvaie, also one sister. Mrs. Helen Pursey of Summerside.
