brave soldier boys of P. E. Island
are the two sons of' Mrs. Donald

couver, enlisted with the B. C. Light
Horse is now at Salisbury Plains, and

tery, preparatory to going to the

|bor North, was the scene ot' it very
-happy event on Wednesday eveninr’
(Dec. 9th, when his daughter, Bells
lRoss. was united in marriage with Mr.
ll-larry G. Reid, son of Mr. William
iReld of the same community. The cer-
lemony was performed in the parlor
[at five o’clock by Rev. Archibald Sut-
herland and was witnessed by ahoutl
fifty guests-mostly relatives of the
contracting parties. The bride, who
is one of the most popular young ladies
of the community, wore a suit of
‘navy broadcloth with blouse of char-
meuse to match, and was attended by
her sister Ethel, gowned in Copenliag-
,en silk. The groom was attended by
Mr. Gavin lt. Hlcken. Following the
ceremony a delicious wedding supper
was served in the dining room, the
tables being attended by the girl
friends of the bride. After a few hours
pleasantly spent Mr. and Mrs. Reid‘
drove to their new home followed by
the good wishes of all present. The
presents, which were many and val-
uable, testiflfied to the high esteem
in which tho happy couple are held by
their many friends.

ENJOYABLE CONC;ERT.- On thc
evening ot' Nov. 30th a. Grand Basket
Social' and entertainment was held iii
Clyde River. Hall under the auspices
of thc W. P. A, The hall was prettily
decorated with Red, White and Blnc,
and Union Jack Flags. By 7.30 the
hall was packed to its utmost capacity.
That highly esteemed Pliysician, Dr.
A. J. Murchison, was called to the
chair and in ii. brief stirring address he
presented the need of helping thc Red
Cross and Belgians. The following
programme was excellently rendered.
