Vervon River Annuat TemPerance Pesrivar,—This interesting festival took place according to announcement, at the sequestered Orchard of Brownston. After Tea, the Rev. Mr. Calloway occupied the Chair, and the Meeting was addressed by J. B. Cooper, Esq., and Mr. John J. Pippy, of Charlottetown, Williain Sander- son, Usq., of Georgetown, Mr, Archibald M‘Neill, of Vernon River, and others. The addresses were highly interesting aod instructive, and were listened to with sne deepest attention. ‘The meeting was also enlivened by singing some apprapri- ate Temperance melodies, &c. The attendance was numerous and highly reapectable, and the proceedings were eminently calculated to dissemin- ate the principles of Total Abstipence throughout the community.— Gaz. eee LADNCIED.
