Dan McAskill PLANTS: Ground pine and ground hemlock shedding pollen, some red maple and red elderberry were in flower, and shiny leaf willow and hazelnut in flower in the Kensington area on May 3; red maple in full flower on May 12 between Miscouche and O'Leary and yellow birch and ironwood in flower at Burton (JDM, HI). Ground hemlock shedding pollen in Green Road woods on May 15 (WG). White violets in flower at Donagh on May 14 and lots on May 15 as well as a few purple violets. A few dandelions in flower at Charlottetown on May 1 (JDM) and dandelions in flower on the warmest parts of the lawn in Donagh on May 22, in Charlottetown on May 23, and with fields in full bloom on June lst in Mermaid area (JDM).
