Farewell ' Party A large crowd gathered in Pownal Hall, Monday night, June 9 to bid farewell to Mr. Bernard Praught. who is leaving Pownal to reside in Charlottetown. Mr. Lewis Herman called the gathering to or- der and an address was read by Miss Dorothy Ings and a presenta- tion of two nice suit-cases and a sum of money was made by Barry Inge and Donnie Acorn on behalf of the people of Pownal and vic- inity. Mr. Praught in a. few well- chosen words thanked everyone for , the nice gift: especially the ladies of the Women's Institute for their thoughtfulness in remembering him in this way. A delicious lunch was served by the ladies and the bal- ance of the evening was spent in dancing. -Music was supplied by Athol Buell.
