She was milt about ten years ago by Mr. William Palmer, of Owl's Head, and Mr. George Hen- derson, of Lower Water Street, held a Mort- gage on her. The mortgage being foreclosed, she was to be sold, as stated. During Thurs- day night, without being observed by the man placed on the wharf, t> watch the vessel, the Active, in chargef of John Palmer, son of William, and a crew which had come on her from P. E. Island a week ago, hoisted sail and left the whorf. Her departure was of course discovered Fri lay morning, and the sale had to be put of. Wm. Palmer, who was in town, was as much surprised as any on learn- ing of the schooners disappearance, and ex- presses his willingness to have her placed in the mortgagee’s hands at any time.
