Mr. Prince was at one time stationed at Tryon. He was 89 years of age. Dr. Shaw and his brother David Shaw, left this morning for Montreal, where the latter will enter McGill, Dr. Shaw wiil rémain in Montreal! over winter. Mr. and Mrs. L: T. Howard, of Brocke ton, Mass., arrived iu Charlottetown last night and put up at the Queen Hotel. Thev will remain in the province about a week visiting friends. A Farewett Dance.—Last evening a number of the friends of Mr. Charles Dougherty, who is to leave for Vancouver, BC, in a few days, gave him an enjoyable dance in the A O A rooms. About 30 couples were present. Refresh-~ ments were served and the dancing was kept up until 2.30.
