Born on St. Mary's Road 75 years ago. the daughter oi Bernard and Brid- gst Hughes her husband predeceas- ed her eight years ago. She was s woman oi many -out- standing qualities, possessing a high moral character, and a very devout Catholic, and in time oi sickness and death, she was al- ways ready to help the sick. and in death to console and comfort the bereaved. She was always ready to help in the welisre oi the church. she was s friend oi all, both young and old. She leaves to mourn one dough- ter, Mrs. Thomas Pomarico oi New York who arrived home for the iuneral. also seven sons, Rev. Ed- ward Clinton o! Texas. Gregory in New York, Thomas, Ontario, Percy in Souris, Bernard, Souris River, Joseph and Aiphonaus at home, one son. James, predeceased her 30 years sgo, also one brother Thomas in St. Mary's Road. . The funeral was held on May 25 to St. Mary's Church Souris where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by her pastor, Rev. Mon- slgnot‘ Murphy assisted by Rev. A. L. Sinnott as deacon and the Rev. F.
